In 1962, a quiet man walked into a basement club and told them to wear the suits. Matching collarless suits. Polished shoes. No more leather. They resisted — they were rebels — but eventually agreed. Within twelve months, every teenage girl in England had a poster of them.
The leather was who they were. The suits were who they became.
About this design: Split composition. Upper half: four collarless mod suits on wooden hangers. Lower half: four black leather jackets crumpled on the floor. The visual tension between order above and chaos below is the whole story.
