Penny Lane is a real street in South Liverpool. The songwriter grew up a few blocks away and wrote a song about the people he saw on his way to school — a love letter to every intersection where people live their small, ordinary, beautiful lives.
About this design: Charming vintage British high street watercolor. A 1960s corner barbershop with red and white barber pole. Bay window, gold leaf shop sign. Red telephone box on the corner. Blue street sign: PENNY LANE.
