Four young men from Liverpool who walked into every room of their professional life together and walked out of it together. Four close friends who transformed from boys into legends over eight years and forty miles of recording tape.
When the number 4 appears in rock history, every fan knows exactly who it’s referring to.
About this design: Saul Bass mid-century minimalism at its most restrained. A single enormous numeral 4 in bold condensed serif dominates the top of the shirt. Below, small italic text: a walk that changed everything. And below that, exactly four anonymous silhouettes viewed from behind, walking away from the viewer in a loose line — each one a slightly different stride, each wearing a mod slim suit, long parallel shadows cast behind them from a low evening sun. No faces. No identification. Just the number and the walk.
Because some numbers don’t need explanations.
